Aaliyah was at the top of her career when she was killed in an accident. What doesn't add up is the fact that less than 2 weeks after her plane crash, the case was solved and closed. Whats more troubling is the history of aaliyah that was told by R Kellys first manager....Everything was staged and set up according to his story...even the affair with r kelly. Even more strange yet is how silent her mother and father was about the whole situation. I just don't buy it. I believe that the industry conspired to knock her off because not only was she a threat to a bigger investment that they had but she wasn't light skinned enough for them to stand, every black who is honest with themselves knows that hollywood continues to perpetuate the light skinned chicks and refuses to commemorate dark skin...Her talent supersceeded her looks and they just weren't able to hang with that. I believe her contract was traded in for Beyonce and Ashanti...all of whome are super light & aaliyah copies.

I don't think there was a conspiracy but a lesson for sure! I honestly believe God does everything for a purpose and the purpose of this was to show He can give and take no matter what! Sometimes we don't know, sometimes we think! But all that matters is you're not guaranteed a certain life expectancy so make the best out of your daily tasks!

Everything happens for a reason but you have a good point because the whole conspiracy thing is definately possible but she was too good to kill off, they would only be losing out on millions of $$ if they intentionally killed her
RIP AALIYAH... THE WORLD LOVES YOU!!!

Are you serious? I doubt there was a conspiracy to kill Aaliyah. I mean, she was just an entertainer (though one of my faves of her time, don't get me wrong)...Don't you think people would conspire against someone more threatening or something?

no conspiracy just stupidity, its sad but i could have been prevented if they had listened to the pilot that there was too much weight on the plane, they was suppose to divide the people on to two seperate planes or put thier luggage on a seperate plane because with all the people and all their luggage it was to much weight, but they had to have it there way. and now that beautiful talented girl is dead.
