the best way to keep a room organized and neat is simplicity- first seperate your things by catergory- clothing, personal care items, collectibles , etc. go through each pile and get rid of what you don't need / use any more . Don't be afraid to get rid of things and get them gone as soon as possible so you are not tempted to go back through and keep things.

Things that have sentimental value - be creative and find a place of honor for them-- a shelf, shadow box, frame, etc

clothing- organize by season, I find it easier to hang most of my clothing including t shirts and jeans- if you dont have a lot of hanging space get a dresser with a hutch keep each drawer reserved for specific items. those canvas shlves you can hang in your closet are useful too. Get a couple of storage boxes for under the bed- these are good for shoes, sweaters, sheets and blankets.

Keep like things together- don't have personal care items scattered all over the room- keep your hobby/ craft items in one area - storeage system, oyur personal care items together, your books , cds , media in one place and everything BACK to its place when it is not in use.

You know the size and storeage options in your room- the key to keeping everything organized is "Everything has a home and everything in it's home" When a space is full to capacity you have two options- don't get anything else for that space- don't tey to squeeze it in- there is NOT always room for one more- OR- get rid of one or two things before you bring something new in.
Be very discerning about collectibles.
One large piece of furniture is always more functional, organized and appealing to the eye than several small pieces.
Once you get everything in oder, make a habit of putting things back in their place when you are finished using it. Make "rules " for your room- when you create your own rules and keep them in mind, it helps keep things in order. One rule in my room is absolutely no clothes on the floor, not dirty or clean. I have a basket and all dirty clothes go in that- if I am in a rush and would normally just throw something on the floor - I put it on my bed and then take 2 minutes before I go to bed later to put it away.
When things are kept neat and organized oyu have less wear and tear on things, they last longer and you will feel better about yourself.
keep it simple and it wont be so easy to get cluttered.
I hope this helps

First expect to work like a DOG! cause you will organizing is what I do for myself and other peoples stuff. Sometimes it becomes an annoying habit. So
1. Take everything out of the room ( most people have way too much furniture and crap.
2. Remember to clean well as you go because once done you may not have to clean that hard on that room again.
3. Put your bed, 1 dresser, 1-2 night stands, a t.v. and a tall slender cabinet for it.
4. Go through all of your clothes. Summer and Winter. If you haven't wore them in 1 yr get rid of it. Later have a garage sale.
5. Closet you can try small slender stack-able shelves for shoes
Or just use the top of your closet shelf.
6. Move anything you just think you have to keep put in medium totes.
7. If you have too many clothes. Store your Winter clothes in long
thin totes. You can store them under your bed and trade out when you need them.
If I new what you room looked like I could give you a lot more help.
I hope this is enough for now. Good Luck.

Okay, so here is a easy way to organize a bedroom in complete disarray.
1. Throw away trash
2. Pick up all laundry
3. Sort remaining things into 3 piles(I like to use boxes to sort these things in):
a. Keep
b. Give away
c. Throw away
Deal with ONLY ONE THING at a time and completely take care of that box before moving on to the next thing. Don't get distracted, you may not remember to come back and you won't have gotten anywhere at all.
4. Make sure the things you keep are only the things that you need.
5. The things you give away are the things that are in good condition that you don't need any more.
6. The things you throw away are no good to anyone.
Obviously these are referring to clothes, shoes, toys, etc. If you are talking paperwork the piles are only keep and throw away.
If you are keeping paperwork it should be only records that are current and of use now or for your taxes.
When you throw away paperwork make sure it gets shredded! And when you are all done, make sure you take the trash out and take your giveaway to the Goodwill/ Salvation Army. You will be amazed by how much better things look when everything is out where it should be.

Get three boxes and label them: (1) Donate, (2) Trash (3) to go in other rooms. Go through the mess and put it in each box. Then put the rest of the stuff away. Be merciless about that which you will rid yourself of. You'll thank yourself for clearing the clutter.

Make your bed.

Then, start at one side of the room and clean from top to bottom using a multi-purpose cleaner like 409, glass cleaner (windex) with cloth rags (cloth diapers work well, but you can start with old shirts or something). Focus on the horizontal surfaces because more dust collects there. Then make sure you vacuum the carpets.

The best advise it to free up more space in your draws that is full of clutter, you can go to a dollar store or any Wal-Mart® store and get plastic totes that are long and slim in size that you can slide under your bed no matter the size, clean out anything you do not use or wear at least twice a month and label the bins and store this under your bed, it is also a good place if you get the ones with lids to store winter/fall clothes with or even coats or dinner and special occasion wear that you do not use often, but will know where to find it once you need it. Hope this helps..

You can get some really cute boxes and bins to put your junk in from Target and Peir 1 or Pottery Barn. It is a great way to organize and still looks great!

A friend of mine refered me to this book on Feng Shui. It really worked for him. "Move Your Stuff, Chang Your Life- How to use Feng Shui to Get Love, Money, Respect, and Happiness" by Karen Rauch Carter. But even without the art of Chinese furnature aranging, the most important thing when organizing is the "purge." You have to get rid of all the things you don't like or need and showcase the things that are importantto you. Good Luck.

making ur bedroom really a fun n' a nice place is my hobby.
Telling u from a start-paint a wall of ur bedroom which is fully blank no doors no windows with a darker color. then start making it a poster wall .paste some of ur cool photos, different posters,or a kind of stuff toys .this really gives a cool look.
clean ur room. if u have a study table clean it ,place so-called high-fy books with a lamp. there should be a small plant at a corner of ur room. It gives a refreshing look.arrange ur bed as u like .
BEST OF LUCK :)

I recently bought a handful of baskets for five bucks each, placed them on their sides, (they're square shaped), and filled them with all sorts of odds and ends. To keep the room looking even neater, I placed the baskets in my closet, on the overhead shelf.

I have a large, handmade basket from Sicily that serves as my dirty clothes hamper. If I want to hide it, the handle makes it too easy to move into the bath or closet. A book rack near my bed keeps favorite reading materials close at hand.

Another basket on top of my dresser keeps lotions and creams readily available.

I try to keep perfection in my room. First get rid of any junk or items you dont want. If you are unsure of certain items to get ird of quarintine the item for a certain amount of time. If you havent touched it decide again if you really want it. If you have a lot of dressers i not only put closes in there but books and other items.
Boxes are common for organization. If your room is really cluttered and you dont want to see a lot of items hide them in a dresser, under the bed in boxes, in a closet or out of your room.
