Where do u get the thing that counts how many people come to your web site???

Question

Yea I want one for my site but I dont know like what site to go too to get one. Its like a scoreboard but It puts how many people have been on your site.

Here is a site that may help what I am saying:

go all the way down to the end of the home page and it will show u how many people have been on the site that is what I am talking about.

Theres many more but depends on what type youre looking for. The problem with counters is that when you hit refresh on the page, then it will make the counter go up. So it doesnt really count the destinct users that visit your site.

don't get a graphical web counter. they are terribly unreliable. if some one comes to your site with image loading disabled or using a text-based browser the counter will not count that visit. also if someone keeps clicking refresh it will keep counting. what you want is to count only once for each visit.

instead get a web tracker with stats pages. i use http://www.sitemeter.com/ you can set it to ignore your ip number so you won't trip it when you go to your site.
