Usually haze is pollution caused by people. Smoke from forest fires can also create haze. In remote places like Alaska, the Canadian Rockies or the Southern Apls of New Zealand there is no haze.

It depends on their height and distance. The color of air, is blue. Think about that a minute. How often do you run into something that demonstrates it, unless you're in a densely populated city with many staggered buildings?

Solubility of water at higher elevations is reduced due to temperature, so there's always going to be some sort of mist around higher elevations.
