I visit this category often enough but have to admit I did visit today with the hope a winning something. I feel a little guilty but am doing my best to actually contribute to questions.

Well I'm here and up for winning prizes but it's fun reading the different questions out there and actually trying to answer some of them.

To answer your question, probably more people than you can imagine. Just seeing at how fast some of these questions are answered means there must be a lot of people on here today, and the promise of prizes just sweetens the deal. I, myself, have no idea what the prizes are or how they can be won. But that doesn't mean I don't want it ;)

More than you can imagine. Yahoo started a new contest today, offering prizes for best answers. Yahoo's hope is that this competition will be a huge hit, then Yahoo can mold it into an information source like "AskJeeves.com" or Wikipedia. I'm sure that Yahoo is looking for profit potential. I am also confident that my answer will not be a prize-winner!

I think 95% are on it to win prizes me included, but it looks like a cool site. Might stick around even without the prizes.

Actually, you have to answer a specific question to win the prize. Here is the link:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Aqs.DnQ55VD1TbLRTCg6Jy7py6IX?qid=20060612202425AAJXhAo
You can get to it from the Yahoo! Answers main page.
I will admit, it would be nice to win the prize, but over 5,000 people have already answered the question. So, good luck to both of us! :-)

I would love to win a prize, but that's not why I'm here. I love answering random questions, and also reading others' responses. It expands my own knowledge.

I am, but I think alot of the answers today are from people just trying to win as well. Keep that in mind when listening to the answers.
