Yes. I met my husband online in a game, we have been together almost 4 years now, and it just keeps getting better.

Some of us do. I met my husband online in April of 1999... then we talked every day from June to when we met in person. I saw him for the first time in December 1999. Then he went home (far, far away) and I didn't see him for six months.... still talking every day. I visited him in summer 2000, then we continued talking daily until December of 2000, when he came to visit me again, and we got married. For 2 and 1/2 years we lived apart, but finally I came to join him, and we've been living *together* happily ever after for the past three years.

Caution: We met on a site for English teachers, and we already had lots in common to begin with. Neither of us was actively looking for someone when we joined that community. I think meeting on the basis of shared interests works a lot better than dating sites. Also, nothing works like honesty.

Good luck!

I have been with my partner for 2 1/2 years now. We have a one year old little girl and we are as happy now as we were when we met. I think the fact that we met online helped us learn about one another before the physical aspect came into play. I have no regrets! I love him with all my heart!!

Yes they can, but the two people have to be willing to get to know each other before actually even attempting anything. Its a slow process, but I think it pans out in the end.
