Each generation is handed a world where more and more is handled by machines and where we expect less and less from our future generations. People are getting slower, but only because we haven't showed them we need them not to be.

Kids today are also more selfish than ever, but so are adults. It has become the "Me" generation, regardless of who it annoys or inconveniences. And destroying the English language at the same time.
For example, I play RPGs online. I get sick of seeing give me this, give me that constantly instead of earning that money, item, or whatever themselves. Another disgusting thing is seeing things like pwned, woot, and L33t.

It's a sad commentary on society.
