Because they switched directors. The original director was working on Superman Returns (which by the way James Marsden aka Cyclops is lois Lane's Fiancee).
It didn't focus on the characters enough and was WAY too short for my taste, could have gone at least another 35-40 minutes in plot development. Not to mention the comic book innacuracies about the Juggernaut (not a mutant, and didn't tell anything about him being Charles Xavier's half-brother). Basically everything good was already shown in the previews...

The new characters were completely underdeveloped and certainly didn't get enough screen time. They didn't hardly even address Cyclops death. It was so short and could have definitely been much longer. I'd sit through 3 hours of good X-Men before I'd sit through Tom Hanks in DaVinci Code. It was very disappointing. X2 was the best!!!

well as you have said my friend X-men origin is watchable I think X-men 3 last stand is worser than the other. right?

It sucked because the first two sucked and they didn't want to change the formula :)

It must not haved suck to bad, it was the highest grossin flim of the three so far.for the same time frame.

Different writers and directors, strayed from the comics too much, more action, less character development. No Gambit.

That movie did not suck. It was better than the second one. And Phoenix?! Are you kidding me?! She was the sh*t!

because the others didnt suck as badly so they had to make this one suck really badly to make up for it.

I didn't think it was all that bad of a movie. Everyone has their own opinon on things.
