Having the mouth open helps the eye open more so its easier to put on mascara.

Well, i'm not sure, but because of this question, I just went into the bathroom to try to apply mascara, and I succesfully put it on with my mouth closed. I guess it is possible after all.

Maybe it's just something that women tend to do... but I thought some actually leave their mouth open when they put on mascara?

well i usually have my mouth closed when i apply mascara on. but the reason why women apply with their mouth's open is because it stretches out the skin and helps it make it easier to apply the mascara on.

Because of the one track mind of a woman. It's a miracle that she can actually breath and do something that complex. Actually it's a natural reaction for her to try to 'stretch' her face so she can make it spread more evenly. Hense the longer face makes her think she has more area to work with. It's an optical illusion.

haha. i read somewhere. That it is a natural habit because opening your mouth tends to make your eyes feel wider, making it easier to apply mascara. Now can you do it without opening your mouth?

In talking matters I have no idea woman love to talk and the other one you might be refering to is that the eyes widen when the mouth is open.

I can, I used to have to open my mouth, but when i was with my (now ex) boyfriend, he used to stay in the room whilst i did my makeup and i realised i looked that a muppet, so i taught myself to close my mouth! lol
