The world series of poker coverage has made poker a huge sport and allowed amatures to take center stage in big tournaments. Can ESPN do it again with the upcoming World Series of darts coverage begining in July?

Darts was on TV before poker believe it or not. There was a match in England that involved Bobby George about 15 years ago. I believe the tournament was the British Open. I'm not 100 percent sure but I remember seeing dart championships on tv.

I don't know. I saw a "World Championship Of Dominoes" on ESPN2 a few days ago, but I don't think that dominoes is going to be the new thing. Darts might be because they are more entertaining. But its not like poker where its a big guessing game. Darts is either luck or skill, nothing else. But you never know.

I played darts in a league for years in Atlanta and Stone Mountain leagues and I like poker and playing it, but I think with ESPN coverage it should really catch on big time. I hope so.

Darts is very huge in the US. Go to any bar on anynight
probably around 7 PM and those drunken dart players are
usually a team.

I have played darts on leagues for over 7 years and every
year we go to Las Vegas for the finals.

My team's Moto: "My drinking team has a Dart Problem"
