I like the fountains at the Bell, but make sure its not on the strip, that's not as romantic as if you were to do it in a quiet area alone. Go to dinner first to warm it up, then propose. Do it when the fountains go off!!

That's so sweet, I am a female and also a romantic. I'm only imagining how I would like to be proposed if I had a choice between the two ideas that you have. Good luck!

I think that making your proposal at the fountains would be wonderful. Just, plan to do it in the summer months where you'll be warm, because if you do it anytime between September and May, you'll be cold. The fountains spray a mist on the people standing nearby.

There are other resatuarant choices you might consider that are nearby and actually have a closer view of the fountains. The Eiffel Tower Restaurant is across the street. In order to get across, you'd need to take the walkway from the Bellagio up and over Las Vegas Boulevard (the Strip), and then come down the escalator, stairs, or elevator next to Bally's, and then walk south to Paris. Why not consider one of the restaurants that's at the Bellagio, with a view overlooking the fountains. I'd propose outside at the fountains, and pending her "yes," then take the celebration inside to the restaurant where you already have the waiting reservation.

Some suggestions are: Prime Steakhouse (Named "Best Steakhouse in Las Vegas" by Las Vegas Life Magazine, PRIME may well be the grandest, most romantic steakhouse on earth!); Picasso (Features original works by the artist); MICHAEL MINA (Seafood); Le Cirque; Circo, et all. Go to the Bellagio.com website, and you'll be able to take 360 degree views of each establishment.

That sounds really beautiful. I suggest that you propose at the Eiffel Tower restaurant. Here is my reasoning - The fountains are great! BUT it is CROWDED. Tons of people are rubbing against each other trying to get a good look at them all leaning against the stone railing. There's a bunch of leftover drink glasses scattered everywhere and little cards with hookers on them on the ground and railing. It's right up on the dirty street too. It's not nearly as romantic as it looks on TV or in the movies. If you really have your heart set on doing it at the fountains, then let me suggest that you walk up toward the Bellagio main entrance to the side of the fountains. It's a little more secluded from the front, and you still have the music and lights.
As for a violinist, If you'd like one to serenade you while you are at the Paris, why not call ahead and ask to speak to the concierge or the restaurant manager.
Congratulations!

Well you have to remember that the fountains will have a huge amount of people out in front of Bellagio wanting to see the fountain show themselves. I know that the Paris Hotel will arrange for you to go up in the Eiffel Tower alone. There is a pretty hefty price tag on that but if you wanted to ask her without the crowd that would be the way to go.

I popped the question at Le Cirque (restaurant at the Bellagio overlooking the fountains). I really wanted to do it outside in front of the fountains, but I got so anxious I had to do it right there. I was happy I didn't wait, because the first song they played when we got out there was Viva Las Vegas. Not the most romantic song.

Definitely at the fountains. Even though it's a little crowded if you do it in the off season, during the weekdays, or really late the crowds will be much smaller and the streets much cleaner. Because once you ask her, she won't be thinking of anything else. Which means the romance of the fountains will be lost. Depending on the girl she is more likely to either ask you a lot of questions all night or she'll just want to make love. Either way if you do it at the Paris the night will be shot, and when she (or you) gets to tell the story about the night it won't sound as good. And trust me she wants the story to sound great to her freinds, mom, etc... Good Luck man.

You should actually make all of it the prelude to the engagement. Take her out let her enjoy herself and once you are back at your hotel room in private, pop the question. She will be totally thrown off and will lose her mind.

So mnay people do it at the fountains, you should make it more intimate and personal. What would rock is if you have a violinist come and play while you propose. That she would never forget. Remember, sometimes women like simple and romantic.
