Sure they are. I am a teacher and it is more common to see boys in pink at the 8-12 grade level. Most boys that wear pink are physically fit and self-confident. On the other hand, if a male child has girlish tendencies, it could cause the child to be teased. It's not the color you wear, it's the way you carry yourself. As they say, "It takes a real man to wear pink!."

Pink Shirts are completely appropriate for boys. Right now they are "in fashion". Don't get me wrong, not all boys look good in pink, but there are many that can pull it off very gracefully. Now if they start asking to where a pink tu-tu...Then you're in trouble.

If he's a little kid, it might be fine. However if he's age 9-17, he's probably going to want to avoid wearing anything that will get him teased at school, no matter how handsome he might look in pink. Ask the kid what he likes.
