Why consistantly, does America try to impinge Christian values on a society made with different values?

Because America is screwed and it was screwed from the beginning. We always have biased oppinions and the media uses that to it's advantage. Since there are more Christians in America then any other religion, they impinge that into our values. Not to mention America was orignally formed from people who came here to practice their religion freely.

Because this country was in fact founded on Christian principals. i.e., the ten commandments. If any part of that is a bad thing I'd like someone to point it out.

I think that the main thing that America is trying to do when it enters another country to help out is to make an effort to change that country to a democracy where the people are able to make the choices that effect them rather that a dictator who can make any choices that he wishes. Also, they are not quick to enter the country unless there is proof that harms to humanity are being commited by the leader of that country. There are countries run by dictatorship that America does not have problems with.

I guess we try to impose our christian values so they will stop chopping people's heads off and other strange things they do. When you see horror being committed, is it okay to just sit and watch or should you try to help? Some of these places are so middle ages its frightening. Look what the muslim fanatics are doing in Africa, going thru and wiping out entire villages, including little children, because they're not muslim. I'm sorry if it offends you that we'd try to stop that kind of mass murder, not that we're actually doing anything to stop it anyway.

Because of the elitist value of those christians. They believe that they are the one true religion and that they should have power over all. As a Pagan, it insults me to the core. Be what religion you like but don't force it down the throats of anyone else.

because this value system works!!!! kinda of simple do not lie,cheat,kill,steal, ect. ten rules that work, just think if people would not have sex with other people besides their husband/wife no AIDS that is big all by its self. then there is the children who suffer because their momma had sex and does not know who the babies daddy is, so there is just 2 of the thousands of things that is RIGHT with this type of value system. let your mind think of others, would be a nice place if this was the "norm"
