Cause most often people don't have a place for their keys, it's a matter of them not being where they want them, when they want them, not so much that they were ever misplaced.

People misplace their keys becasue they are a commonly used item and it is the last thing you really think about when you set them somewhere. It's just one of those things you don't pay that much attention to and hence you lose them all the time.

The cerebellum is where your short term memory is stored and the cerebrum is where your long term memory is stored. The handling of keys is so frequent that one automatically registers it to the short term part of your brain without hesitation. And there you have it.

i dont know why. keys are just something that gets lost easily. maybe because they are really small and you always use them so you dont remember where you put them last
