Think of it this way. If you can eat it by just mushing it with your toung and not using your teeth, or if it will desolve easily and quickly in your mouth, your baby can eat it too. (i.e. steamed vegies, mashed potatoes, vienna sausages, scrambled eggs, toast, oatmeal, yogurt, apple sauce, fish) The list goes on. BUT, if you have to use your teeth, DO NOT give it to them.
Try to stay away from sweets. You want to start then off in life with good eating habits.

I have a ten month old, almost 11 months, that has NO TEETH and she eats most table foods. Just make sure it's in little pieces for him/her and it's soft foods. Cooked veggies, soft fruits. Most babies love bananas. Oatmeal is good, even meat if its tender. Avoid junk foods. Gerber Graduates have little meals for babies practicing picking up foods (finger foods) but most aren't ready for spooning. At ten months, they might start to make a big mess when they eat, so feed them with just a diaper and bib.

Good options, are whole grain bread, whole grain cereals, pasta, Cooked beans, peas, or soy beans.
Cheese is a fun food for the baby to eat and snack on.
Vegetables cut up into small bite size pieces so baby can easily pick it up and self feed. Your baby can pretty much eat anything you eat. Just make sure there small pieces.
Bananas are a good healthy snack for babies.
Hope this helped.

You can feed them more or less anything you are eating!
Just make sure that it is mashed down because any small bits of hard food may get lodged in the throat.
Try lots of finger food that baby can hold themselves, like a peeled raw carrot stick , it helps with their co-ordination and can also help to soothe gums if they are teething.
The more varities you give them now will benefit not only them, but you in later life. They will be less fussy with their eating habits!.......Trust me, I learnt the hard way and it is the one thing I regret not doing.

For good health, give lots of easily digested grains and protein. How about rice cereal mixed with a bit of breast milk or formula? Pears, sweet potatoes, peas and carrots, all are good. One of my daughters loved poi (mashed up taro), another wanted mushed up turkey. Just keep it simple, and make small quantities, cause they can be fickle! One thing to remember, stay away from empty calories, even cut the juice with water. If they fill on sugars, they wont get the nutrition necessary for good development. Some good guidelines are at the link.

Well as long as the baby has teeth...you can start him/her on table foods I wouldn't try anything hard to chew though. They make this thing that looks like a pacifier except instead of a nipple it has a mesh bag on it that you can put foods in like fresh fruits and stuff so that way the baby doesn't get big bites and choke I've used it with my daughter and I think its great!

my son is 10 months old and he eats anything he wants basically honey is a no-no until after 1 year peanut butter is a choking hazard. hot dogs need to be cut in small pieces and no hard foods (such as hard candy and that kind of thing) but meat in small pieces veggies that are cooked some uncooked can be choking hazards. Grapes are a choking hazard unless you cut them into small pieces. My son loves watermelon, cantaloupe, spaghettios.

It depends on his developments? Is he sitting up on his own? Does he have the pinch grab where he can pick up things with his thumb and finger. Then he can have finger foods. He can eat baby foods stage 2 I believe and they have little snacks for children his age like little carrot pinwheels or teething biscuits and so on.

You can give breastmilk/formula, baby cereal, and baby food. There are also some regular foods that are approved, such as cereals (like Cheerios), fruits ( get little nets that mash it up for them), and yogurt.
