I think his true feelings are abundantly clear. He doesn't think very much about you, except to know that no matter what he does, you will always be there for him whenever he wants you to be. Note the use of the work WANT. This is an unhealthy relationship for the both of you. By the way- YOU didn't do anything to make him like this except to allow it to happen. That is a very passive way to abuse yourself, not to be harsh.

Leave this guy alone. If you were a dude I'd tell you that you were thinking with your wrong head.
If you haven't figured it out by now, he doesn't love you. If he does, then it's worse; he doesn't respect you. You can't have love without respect.
You did nothing wrong...
actually you did. You put up with it. You allow it to continue. And you are nothing more than plan B. Stop settling for being someone's number 2 (sounds as if you're lucky to be in the top 5 at any point) and move on.

As much advise as someone can give you, your the only one that can make that decision to leave him. Personally i think that you love him but your not "in love" with him anymore. Big difference and i think that your just in love with the idea of what you guys used to be. Your somewhat scared that if you happen to leave and he finds someone else then he'll change and be what he should of been...a great bf, caring, loving, understanding. All you'll be left with is thinking that, that should be your place not hers. You can't wait forever hoping that one day he'll wake up and realize what a great gf he has and it doesn't sound like he's going to change anytime soon. Leave before it's too late. You need to find someone to love and respect you for you. Good luck gurly!
*Someday your prince charming will come. For now he just took a wrong turn, got lost and is too stubborn to ask for directions!*

You don't need to fix him, he's happy the way he is. You need to fix you. You're like someone getting hit by a train and getting up and doing it again. You've been hurt, you can bet you will be hurt again......get off the train tracks and run for your live to the nearest therapist.

Actually, it doesn't matter.
You are a huge part of the problem. You enable him to treat you like this.
Grow a spine and start making 'you' priority number 1.

Is he much like your father was? That would probably be a pretty good reason you are attracted to that type. Crazy how the psyche works...

Are you sure that you still love him or are you afraid of what you will do without him?
