Yes a women can have a baby after 40,but at a higher risk. As long as you keep yourself in good health and eat right, and take your ob/gyn advice things should be fine, you may need a little help from your doc in terms of hormonal meds but that is something you can discuss with him. FYI: I'm 38 and me and my hubby are trying to have a child, I need to take a med called Clomid to help with getting pregnant, and there is always invitro. Good luck to you if a child is your goal!

yes.
my moms friend was 43 when she had her baby and the baby is perfectly fine. it IS a high risk pregnancy and they did tell her that but she went through with it. my mom also has a daughter she's 17 now and the daughter has a speech problem.

Yeah, it is not that common since at that age they have already gone through menopause but it happens

Biologically - yes.

The question is - why would you want to? You'll be near retirement age when your kid graduates college.

yes and no.... when a women reaches a certain age (40 +) their period stops... so they can never ever ever have a baby.... but if their period didnt stop maybe they have a cahnce of getting one...
