How often are those first impressions the correct ones?

I used to think I was a good judge of character, and then I found out I was wrong. You can't really know about a person until you get to know them. I've been wrong both ways. I thought someone looked like a nice person, and they stabbed me in the back. I thought someone else looked like a nightmare, but ended up being one of the sweetest people I have ever met. Everyone has bad days and too many people lie. Time will tell.

I'm sure most of us would like to think so. I'm right more than 50% of the time, unfortunately, I don't know what percentage this is. My Mother, on the other hand, is correct about 98% of the time; she says it comes from God. I've been trying to get impressions correct like that all of my life.

First impressions dont impress me at all, its the one in the middle that counts, and yes seein hows my back at present is knife free i guess i am a fair judge of character, just watch who you drink with !

I'm usually pretty good a judging character, but I have been wrong before very wrong either good or bad sometimes people are good at putting an act on.

I'm a tad naive. I like to believe there is good in everyone. And I usually tend to keep believing that until they show me otherwise. Usually I'm right.....I can dig in there and find the good and pull it back out if it starts to slip. But those that aren't "real," well once they prove that...........*POOF* I'm gone. That's the only thing I ask of all people around me.......sincerity. We can screw up to the end.....but at least be sincere about it. :D

I believe that we are a good judge of character when we are transparent and others can see through us. When we have nothing to hide and we are open honest individual, we will find it easier to find those who are not. Its a simple method of psychology to figure this out. Birds of a feather, flock together.
