I was at work, watching the Today show with Matt Lauer and Katie Couric.....I was stunned when I saw what happened. It was chaotic, our office shut down and we were told to go home. The courts closed and everyone went home in a frenzy and this was in Miami.

I was at school. I don't remember what period it was. After the teachers were notified what had happened, everyone in the school was brought to the gym. I went to a very small school so everyone fit. There was a TV in the front but it was off. The school doesn't have cable I don't think. After about a half hour all the kids went back to homeroom. Anyone who had a relative that might be in the Twin Towers was let out of school. One girl in my class thought her grandpa was in one of the Twin Towers. I have no idea what happened with her. The teachers stopped teaching for the day. I was young so I didn't understand what had really happened. All the kids in my class were really freaked out. The classes let out early so my mom came and picked up my brother and I. We drove home really fast. When we got home we my mom and I sat in front of the TV until my dad got home. That is all I really remember. It was a really scare and I still don't understand it completely.

I will remember forever. I woke up that morning (a non work day for me) and the radio went off and I heard someone screaming something that didn't make sense. So I turned the TV on and was horrified and immediately called my husband into the bedroom. His whole family is from NY and he has 2 in-laws who work in the Twin Towers. It was a very sad day!

I was at work at a small camera store downtown. I was talking to a vendor, when he mentioned that he heard about 2 planes hitting the World Trade Center and one the Pentagon. I paused for the punch line, and said "You're joking, right?" Of course, he wasn't.
Then I found out schools had let out early, so I had to leave work and get my kids. I was upset that the teachers told them what had happened, because they knew their father was flying that day. He was okay, by the way.
I spent the rest of the day in shock, talking to lots of people on the phone, and entertaining a bunch of scared neighborhood kids who jumped at every noise.

Half way across the world. It was 9:00 pm in that part of the world. I was in college finished for the day. My mom came to pick me up and the first thing she said was that America was under attack. Nobody slept for the rest of the night. We were all infront of the tv watching everything unfold.

Driving down to Boston on a school trip in eight grade. They made us turn back but didn't tell us why. I only found out because a friend's dad was with us and he got a call from a colleague.

I was getting ready for school when it happened, and driving to school when I heard about it. When I got to campus, the professors were telling the students that we could go home if we wished. It was all anyone could talk about all day long.
