I think that is does make a difference. If you have a unique name it will either make you more of an individual or make you hate being unique. It seemed to me that people who had certain names were more popular. It is hard to be popular with a name like Gertrude or Earl. It sometimes happens, but I think it makes it more difficult for the child.

Funny you ask. I have wondered this for years and years. I have had several female friends with the name mary and all of them seem to have falled on hard times. I am talking about 3 women, from three families with no relation or contact between them. What are the odds?

If you do a search on google for the meaning of names it will tell you what your name means. Mine means helper. And look at me, I am in Yahoo answers trying to help people.

Go figure.

I think there is no way to tell just by a name what a person will turn out like. Destiny is a tricky thing that no one can predict, it is what you make of yourself, that's what makes everyone that has your name unique.

I believe your name is a part of your soul, not necessarily who you are destined to be but rather a part of you forever.
