Are we talking comic book folks only or other fictional hero's as well.
In the bad guy catoegory I'll take DOOM, with the good guys, I'm going with The Green Lantern, who once bested Superman when they were forced to fight as part of the Justice League....and I'll take Green Lantern to win overall, unless of course we're talking non-comic book, then I'll take King Kong & Obi-Wan Kenobi!!!
