Because hte movies are fake...and they like drama, and stuff that never happens...like million to 1 chances!

Because, somehow, all movies and books focus on the one protagonist that will achieve that 1 in a million chance. Otherwise, there wouldn't be a story.
Movies and books are fiction created for enjoyment, not real-life statistics.

Coz it would be a really boring film if the obvious thing happened every time.
It's not generally about the fact that the unlikely event happened. It's that the film is ABOUT the unlikely event.
It's like (something a bit more exciting than this example), if you filmed yourself rolling a dice, over and over again. Then you could edit it to prove that you rolled a six every single time. It didn't really happen, but you CAN make a film about it!

That used to bother me a lot too. But here's what I figure: There are billions of people on earth, so maybe that person you are watching on the big screen just happens to be the lucky one out of millions.
