Because the media doesn't want to put the truth out there!

Try researching more, or maybe try watching other news outlets. A portion of the media does cover it. A lot of the AP released news bytes give statements from the Iraqi government. Fox News programs will give you the full story.

The Iraqi govt's view is clearly that U.S. troops are still needed at their current levels. U.S. commanders on the ground (even those that disagree with some of Washington's politics) think that the troop levels are right. There does seem to be a movement in the media to suppress how many of the Iraqi's feel about the U.S. if its positive. Many in the media are liberals, anti-Bush, or anti-military. Anything that would shed a little light on success is often squashed.

the US inhabitants gained't stand for our ideal armed forces being difficulty to the arbitrary and capricious vendettas which will actually keep on with our departure. The interest is performed in Iraq. There never has been a sensible probability of a armed forces victory. that's time for the Iraqi authorities to take over the country and grant for the protection and rebuilding of Iraq. there isn't any longer some thing better the US can do to make a favorable result on the country. The Iraqis choose us to go away, the US inhabitants needs the US troops to come back domicile and the troops would somewhat come domicile. Case closed.

well... the government is made up of many elected officials... so you're being a little vague...

But I'll assume you're talking about prime ministers, since they are kind of like the president....

But there have been several interviews with different prime ministers that I have read that were done by the AP... there have been 4 different prime ministers in Iraq since the invasion, the most recent of which was nominated in May 2006... (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prime_Minister_of_Iraq ... for a list)

depending on which one you're looking at, they have different opinions on U.S. occupation... some are hesitant and some are very open to U.S. forces... I've read stories on interviews of most of them... mostly AP that state both sides of the opinion...

The current prime minister, Nouri al-Maliki, was apparently upset about haditha, but was also apparently misquoted in an interview... so it's all a little foggy.. for more see
http://www.forbes.com/business/manufacturing/feeds/ap/2006/06/02/ap2790779.html

So basically... it depends on who you're asking... just like American government, it has many officials with many different opinions

do you ever notice how people like fnkyclemedina think that the media is bias if it presents a side that they don't like, even if that same media also presents their side?... yeah... fox news tells the whole story... sure... they only tell what conservatives want to hear... and that's probably less than half the news...

The Iraqi government HAS, on numerous occasions, formally requested that the U.S. stay until Iraq can protect, govern, and sustain itself.

The Iraqi government knows it would be suicide to let the U.S. leave. It's hard to staunch the chaos even with a large military presence.

They want us out, and their president came as close to saying it as he could.

He does not like the atrocities committed against his people by the marines and he thinks were are the problem, not the solution!
