I accidently deleted the sound from my computer. I went to microsoft and tried to download it but it says that my windows version is not "genguine". Can someone please help get sound back.

Did you try the "System Restore" feature? This may solve your problem by returning your PC's settings to an earlier date. Did you delete the sound card driver or the sound card itself? Right click on "My Computer" select "properties" then "hardware" then "device manager". Look for your sound card in there to see if it is listed. If so, try to roll back the driver. If not, try the new hardware wizard.

what sound u talking about? the daft window sounds???
if it is they are just that annoying i delete them anyway..
but if your talking about your sound drivers that a different matter would u need to find the cd or goto the maker of your sound card and reinstall it.

Go to Control Panel and then Add Hardware

use ur motherbord cd . in which u can find sound driver.
