My cycle was 33 days this time and 30 days last cycle. I am currently 10 days into my cycle, so when should I buy an ovulation tester? Since my cycle is so irregular does amyone think it would be wise to buy a LOT of the Dollar Tree brand and just start testing today until I see a result?

ALL brands must come with instructions for usage. That will include a chart of when you should start testing, based on the average length of your cycle.

My cycle is like that. It is never the same. I would start taking the test a week after you period. I would just keep taking the test from that day on until the line is gone or lighter on the test. I have taken some to early and it is a waste of money because there it is negative until closer to the time. I would keep buying from that time on. Just to be save. That is what I'm doing next month. Hope it works for the both of us.

Skip the ovulation test. It has a number of problems that make it inaccurate for many women. Instead, please read _Taking Charge of Your Fertility_ by Toni Weschler. It will give you accurate information that you can use to determine ovulation much more reliably than any store-bought test. And it's *free*, other than the cost of a sheet of paper.
