when you grow up? I mean - I'm in my 40's and I STILL don't know. Sad, huh? Are you actually working at a job that you went to school for or at a job that truly gives you happiness?

Yeah, I'm working at a job that I went to school for, but after a few years, accounting has become very boring and monotonous. I still have no idea why I chose this path in the first place, probably just because I liked math.
There are days when I absolutely dread coming into work.

I'd like to find an occupation that brings out the creative side of me. I love cooking and writing, so I'm thinking of something in the culinary department or becoming a writer.

I am currently going to school for Nursing. I love helping people. Nothing wrong with being 40 and not knowing what you want to do with your life. You still have so many years ahead of you. Take some classes and maybe you might find your niche. It may be that when you were in school there wasnt the same kind of option that there are today. Do a little soul searching.

I changed jobs at 49. I worked as a research microbiologist for all my adult life and then I changed to be a teacher. I teach at the University of Bordeaux.

I absolutely LOVE teaching, my students are adorable (senior level). I don't think I would have been a good teacher when I was younger but now I actually know some stuff to pass on to others.

I'm working to become an English instructor at a community college. Right now, I'm not very happy. Very mundane work, but maybe in 3-5 years, things will be a lot different.

I'm quite happy with my life now.

I sometimes joke that I want to grow up and be "this or that" but in reality I'm very happy to be a stay at home mommy.
When I was younger I wanted to be a fun stay at home mommy and that's what I am now!

I'm 23. I feel like I should know what I want by now. I feel like what I have always wanted to be growing up is unrealistic now days. I always wanted to grow up to be a house wife/stay at home mom. I am a wife and mother, but we can't quit afford for me to stay home and keep up the lifestyle we have now.

I want to be the best "me" I can! By that...I mean...I wish to live by faith, with humor, always striving to learn something new, stretching my boundaries, simplifying the clutter of life, being a good friend so I can have good friends, remaining faithful to myself and my spouse, looking at life in a different way, being happy and as healthy as I can.

I'd like to leave my footprint clean on earth.
Helping people or at least socialising with is the first step.
Stay at home one day; and at night , ask yourself what best occurs for you during the day.
So anything you do for the community is really what you are.
