That is a very good question. My own brothers don't when they come over to my home and I can tell them that I just had the carpets shampooed and they still don't take them off.
But if you go to their homes and even leave your shoes on when going into the stone or hardwood floors, they have a fit!

Different people have different household rules.
I don't take my shoes off if I am going to be leaving fairly quickly, whereas my wife takes hers off one step into the house regardless of whether she's running back out.
I guess some of us are still cavemen.

It's not that they aren't taking off their shoes, some people just have feet that look like shoes. It follows the same principle as people who look like their dogs.

culture, & the way people are raised plays a big part in how they live thier life, dont take things personally, be understanding to your fellow man, there may be things abot you that boggles them
