Yes it still exists and is still a big issue. Will it end? Even when we're one big melting pot people will still find differences to discriminate against.

Yes, it still exists. When I look at some of these questions and answers on YA, it really makes me see just how bad it really is! The sad thing is that not all of these people are uneducated and living in a trailer somewhere with 50 cats! Some of these people are "educated" professionals that can make a life-altering decision (based on their racist beliefs) that will hurt a minority.
I thought racism was getting better, but when I see how hateful some of these younger folks can be, I know that it has poisoned the next generation and beyond.

it's certainly still with us. It's not the same as it was in the past, but it's not gone yet, either.
If you've paid attention to the news lately, you'll see that Black sounding names and Black sounding speech generally harms the chances of being employed...so racism is still here.
Discrimination will never end completely, but let's hope it become less and less important as time goes by

Racism still exists. It is an issue, maybe not as big as it has been in the past. Now it's just more subtle. Still I think it will never go away...for every person that becomes enlightened, so to speak, to go beyond racist thinking there's one that will hold onto their prejudiced ignorance like a dog with a bone. And unfortunately these people have children to whom they will teach those same ideals.

It will never end as long as people like the NAACP and Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton can make millions fueling the flames of racism. It will only pass when the black youth choose education over crime and the black people choose to follow those who do not incite riot and play on their fears of centuries old mistakes.

Hell yeah, it still exist. Ask yourself why more blacks are locked up in prison on drug related charges when the statistics clearly shows most drug users are whites. Ask yourself why there are virtually no black shows on regualar tv anymore. Ask yourself why it took too long for rescue to help black victims in New Orleans.
As long as people pretend racism doesn't exist, discrimination will never end.

I predict that racism will be completely gone (hopefully) by the year 2154. Because there are so many mixed couples that are having baby, I think by then we will all be mixed.
This is just my personal opinion, but I think mixed baby, kids, adults are so much more beautiful and they seem to have more of an open mind.

I am sorry to say that it is still a big issue and still exists. Not by my standards though...by my husband and some of his family and that is one reason I have left him. I feel as though everyone is equal in the eyes of God and I treat everyone just like I would like to be treated, with respect if due to them. If they disrespect me...I just ignore them and turn my head to them.
