What are some good hiking places around the Vancouver, BC area?

I am going on vacation to Vancouver, Canada. I would like recommendations on good hiking spots within 2 hrs. driving distance from Vancouver.

All of Vancouver Island is fantastic!
Whistler is very nice as well.

It really depends on your level.
Do you want to go for a nice long walk in the woods?
Do you want to climb an mountain?

there are 3 hikes that start from the same spot on the road to Chilliwack lake....starting point easy to find just before the campsite you'll see all the cars parked. Each hike goes to a mountain lake that can only be reached by hiking in. The hikes are 11/2 hrs,5 hrs,10hrs .....Chilliwack is one hr out of Vancouver off the TransCanada hwy

if u can only have time for just 1 hiking trip, you have to try Grouse Grind.
It takes you up to the peak of vancouver, you get this expensive view of the entire greater vancouver at the end of your hike. it is a sking resort in the winter, and a hiking wonderland in the summer. make sure that you time yourself as you hike up! you might want to take the gondola down, as it is not easy to hike down.

Grouse Grind is only 20 minutes away from downtown vancouver if you are driving.

There are dozens and dozens of them. The Singing Hills, near the Cypress/Hollyburn ski area are wonderful! Whistler is crawling with hiking sites. Grouse has the world-famous Grouse Grind. Seymour Mountain is terrific for climbing.

Whistler mountain is great. I was there this past weekend. It is in fact, 2 hours from Vancouver.
