I'm going to florida with my family at Pensocola beach around July, should we go or stay due to the hurricanes?

My condo is less than a mile from the beach, you can walk to the beach and i dont think we'd be prepared for a hurricane but were only staying for a week and it'll be late july.

I live in west palm beach for a loooong time so hey if you have a house or a apartment with good supplies you really don't got nothing to worry about. One time a hurricane came to florida and the apartment right beside me got blew up because they had cheap stuff. and it wasn't finished being fixed when another huricane came so discuss it with your parents

I think you should wait until the week you're supposed to go and then check the weather report to see if there are even any hurricanes in the area.

im going with my family in july as well. i've been having the same thoughts. i just keep looking at www.weathernetwork.com to see if there are any updates. Im sure if we go it will be ok as the majority of the major hurricanes are in sept.

plan on going, if something comes up you can always cancel, but just because a hurricane MIGHT hit florida isn't a good enough reason to avoid vacationing there

Plan your vacation but just keep a eye out at the weather channel to see if anything develops. But dont worry too much other wise you are not going to have any fun

im going on a cruise in augest and thats still hurricane season.
if you really want 2 go then talk 2 your parents bout it. if your parents dont feel comfortable bout it then tough luck but hav other chances 2 go 2 florida.

great idea- hurrican season runs thru october i think so just go and have fun and evacuate if ya hafta
