Can someone tell me what drawling means when the teenagers say it??

Katelyn, I think it's great that you'll be moving down here during the summer because it'll give you a chance to see what it's like, learn your way around the town you move to, find out which school you'll go to, and make some friends in your neighborhood. School starts the end of August in Texas. You'll have spring break in March and the school year ends the beginning of June. Texans don't have a drawl or southern accent like states in the deep south. Texas is a southwestern state. We do however, have a lot of slang terms we use, and I'll list them at the bottom. Do you know what suburb y'all are moving to? Let us know and maybe we can tell you something about it. Texans love football and that's where you'll find the high school kids every Friday night. In summer kids like to go to Six Flags & Hurricane Harbor. The Metroplex (that's what the Dallas- Ft Worth area is called) has professional football, basketball, baseball & hockey and they are all popular as well. The TX state fair, which is the largest in the nation, is held in Dallas for 3 weeks every fall. The economy is good in Texas and the cost of living is low, so a lot of people move here from other states, which means you certainly won't be the only new kid in town when school starts. I know it's easy for us to say things will be OK, but they really will. The best thing you can do is to get involved in clubs and activities so you'll meet people. Hope this helps a little. It depends on how it's used. Alot of kids these days add a consonant so instead of drawing, it is drawling. I had to break my daughter of it.
