I smell a strong gasoline odor when i start my car? What can this be?

Does the smell continue when you are driving? We had that problem and it was a BIG and EXPENSIVE repair job. There was a leak in a line and it was quite a job to get at it and fix it. Huge labor bill. Definitely get it checked.

likely a foul gasoline line, although a lot relies upon upon the shape of automobile, age, upkeep. Open the hood and seem for gasoline lines, seem for leaks, use your eyes, nostril, hands.... no matter if that's an older automobile, chaning gasoline lines is straight forward, can do it your self, although do be careful....

hmm....I may be going out on a limb here but bear with me on this one....now I think, nah...It could'nt be...well maybe...perhaps...the way you explain it, it might be gasoline. hmm...but maybe not....probably some strange substance that just smells like gasoline, becasue we all know that there are many different things that smell like gasoline

It could be gasoline or peanut butter not sure which without lighting a match.

It could be a broken fuel line or even a broken fuel return line. I would have it checked out ASAP.
