The petroleum industry always pays well, or you could go on to graduate work and then enter any type of industrial research for big bucks. Analytical chem would probably be your best bet for a specialization if you want to avoid grad school.

Unless you get a masters or PhD, you won't make much. Lab chemist in commercial labs make about 12-17 an hour and these jobs are few and far between.
