No worries,
Stay positive let your parent's know as well as your friends and family and even if you go to church tell all the people that care about you Know are looking for a job. This is called networking. Someone who knows you well could recommend a job.
If you have a positive attitude and listen and are willing to learn something new. You will get a job especially if you are pleasant to be around and willing to work hard. If you are a good people person you could get a job in sales without having too much experience. Good Luck and Keep your head up.

Don't worry too much about it, just begin looking for another job immediately in your spare time. Try the website indeed.com. It is a very good resource. Your parents will understand about this. Not having the technical skills for the job is something that can't be helped. Just maintain a positive attitude and keep trying.

Call a temp agency. They can place you in a job that matches up with what you can do. Did you learn anything new at the job where you are now? That will help. Make sure to stress your qualities-and be honest if anyone asks about your weaknesses.
Also-I hope you are not surfing the internet while at work-like asking this question. Some places do not like that and others are ok with it as long as your work is done.
Good luck!!

Ask if you can keep the job if you agree to get the training. You could probably go through the training during evenings, or maybe during weekends. Then when you're done, you know you'll have a job you can keep, will probably get paid better, and will have a skill. Your employer might even pay for your training - it's worth asking. If they won't pay for it, then get the training anyway and pay for it yourself - it's cheaper to earn money and spend a little on training for a few months than it is to be unemployed and not earn anything at all.

You can always take a part time job somewhere while going to school for further education but the money will be cut back a lot. It'll be pretty hard on you but once you finish the school and find a real job you want to keep for years it'll all settle out. But how to break it to your parents is up to you because I or probably no one on here knows how they react to news like that.

You want to try to make your exit as valuable as possible. In a non-confrontive manner, ask your employer what skills they wanted. If it is a large organization, ask if there is another position you might transfer into. If there is no viable option for staying, ask if your immediate supervisor would be willing to provide a reference for your next employment.
Next consider what you really would like to do with your life. Check out Richard Bolles "What color is your Parachute" book, or employment vocational tests at your local employment office.
Finally, realize that most of us have had to leave jobs, but that the next jobs were better than the last. Be optimistic and believe in yourself. The fact uou asked the question here, shows you have the wisdom to make it in the business world successfully.

I had that happen when I was younger too, best bet is just to update your resume and start hitting the pavement. You can apply online with some places and you can apply at temporary agencies as well -sometimes you can find work through them a lot quicker and it is enough work to get you by until you find a full time permanent job. Best wishes!

I would ask why they decided to hire you in the first place then. Then I would ask if I could take courses or be trained in the areas they think I'm lacking in. And if they are still resistant and want to fire you, let them. That's what unemployment is. And your parents love you. They will be worried and mad at your getting fired (at the company not you persay). Just take everything in stride and know that everything happens for a reason and that patience is a virtue.

Go with what skills you do have. Even look into a temp agency - often they'll place you where your skills will be an asset.
Good luck!
ALSO - if you're laid off, I believe you can collect unemployment. Look into that as well.
