Well, there's not much info to go on, but your best bet is to take it to your mechanic. He will install a set of Manifold Gauges to see if there is any refrigerant in the system. If there is, then it's an electrical trouble shooting problem, could be many things. If there is little or no freon in the system, he will charge the system and add a fluorescent dye to the freon. He'll then let the system run and look at all the A/C components with a "black light" and if there is a leak, the fluorescent dye will glow. Then he can give you an estimate on a repair. If it's a very small, slow leak, he may have you drive the vehicle a few days and then re-check for leaks with the "black light". It could be anything from a gasket (inexpensive) to a Condenser (very expensive) But it's the only way I know how to repair an A/C System. HTH, Good Luck!!

Start out by checking to see if the compressor kicks on when you turn the A/C on. If no, check the fuse for it. If that is fine then most likely you will need to take it in somewhere to get it looked at.

If yes, it could be as simple as the system needing a recharge. Pick up a kit at Walmart or K-mart for around $30 and check the pressure in the system, and if its low refill it.

I hate air conditioning....when it doesnt work. You'll have to take it to a certified A/C spot where they will have to charge you a bundle to check what the problem is....whether there is a leak and it has to be recharged.....or just recharged. If its making wierd noises it could be the compressor. The problem with A/C is that there are so many things that can go wrong.

I think you should just need to get it serviced. If not the tech.s will tell you if you need a new a/c.

Yor probably just need to get the freon re-charged. Just take it in and have it done.
