There are better countries. After all, you want kids to grow up in environments where it's safe primarily. There are many conflicts going on there over oil and religion.

Then you want to raise a child in an environment that does not promote open corruption. This would not be Nigeria. There is a large ring of Internet scammers in Nigeria right now preying on people in other countries and justifying it by saying those who respond are just greedy. Then again, there are others that will make up a romance and then scam the person.

In the 21st century, you want your child to grow up in a world of tolerance. Nigeria is also not that place. Being gay in Nigeria can hold a death penalty in Muslim regions and in the south, the penalty could be as grave as 14 years. Yet the age of consent for sex is 13 years old. That seems odd, doesn't it?

But this is just one woman's opinion.

Er no way... All there is is Shell oil and the Nigerian Death squads murdering and abusing locals poisoning their lands leading to them fighting back and being labled terrorists...

Other then that its full of sick in the head religious nuts trying to introduce sharia law so them can batter to death (ie stone) any girl or guy with a boy or girlfriend.
