www.wefreight.com is the new site. I want it to be keyword available. I already advertise with Google AdWords on a pay per click basis.

Put up links to this site on the web (clients or suppliers websites, for example)

Spiders (search engine's softwares) are going to index your site then.

It's all free !

Your link building starts on your site. Good link structure between internal pages using keywords that are on the article pages. Make sure that the article content is original and there is good variation in keywords over many pages including their synonyms. Before submission to search engines, ensure that there no spelling errors or broken links. If English is not your primary language have someone proof read your articles first. Remember a web page that is well written for people will be attractive for search engines. It take months for quality directory listing, but they are human edited which is best. Avoid automated directories and submission using software and follow Google guidelines. Join bookmarking sites like Delicious and other social media and be active in many forums that are relevant to the topic of your site.

There are engines that will submit your site to search engines in bulk and for free - just type in "search engine submission" into a search engine. However, if you want people to actually get to your site from search engines, you'll likely want to do some search engine optimization in order to get your site ranked high. Also, google has what's called a "sandbox" where they take 8-10 months to list a new website/domain to discourage fly-by-night webmasters.

Nothing is free pal, here some good tips though:

1. Work on your metatags and keywords
2. Submit your site to major web site directories, especially DMOZ
3. Exchange links with other webmasters, but only with sites that are related to yours (reciprocal linking)
4. Consider publishing monthly e-newsletter to keep your current user base to come back to your site
5. Consider hosting discussion forums

Other Promotional Techniques
* Add your site as part of your email signature. You can also add it as part of your signature when you write on message boards and newsgroups. For example:
Pinyo Bhulipongsanon
http://www.greatnexus.com/

* Strategically mention your web site in other message boards and newsgroups with a similar topic.

I also think one of the cheapest ways to advertise is email marketing. Buy bulk emails, and send them out. Here's a good resource for email marketing http://qualitybase.org/emails.aspx......

ehh submision to yahoo and google is absolutely free, altavista uses yahoo search so thers no need to submit to that.

For google go here
http://www.google.com/addurl/?continue=/addurl

for yahoo
http://search.yahoo.com/info/submit.html

I also recommend you submit to the open directory project, it is used by a lot of search engines including google
http://dmoz.org/add.html

Lastly it will take a while for the site to be added 3weeks/over a months?

U will not be banned for resubmiting.

To check if ur site is already on a search engine type the url into the search field

I can't do it for free but for a small fee I can place you onto Yahoo Network and Google..one of the lowest set-up fees in the industry.
