Geeze, I had everything done last night and was ready for bed, I sat down for a few minutes to flip the channels, and the opening for Dirty Dancing was on. I proceeded to sit there and watch the WHOLE MOVIE. It was as if I hadn't already seen it 100 times and was dead tired and should have went to bed. It is almost 20 years old and I can recite just about the whole dang thing, for cryin' out loud!!! I couldn't turn the tv off, it was like I was under some spell.

Do you have a movie that does this to you?

Top Gun, any "Brat Pack" movie and anything with John Travolta or Nicholas Cage does it to me, too.

Yes, I let Napoleon Dynamite play as I fall asleep. I don't know how many times I have done this, but hey, as long as it helps me get to sleep, I don't mind.

And no, I am not saying it is a boring film, I am saying I like the movie that I let it play as I fall asleep since I know the plot by heart. That way, I don't have to stay up another 2 hours to watch something I have to find out what happens too...

I don't have the same problem. I don't like to watch the same movie more than once. I only watch movies more than once if they are really good. Like Sin City. I saw that in the movie theatre, and I know it has been downloaded. So, back to the question at hand, if you need to go to sleep, I usually just go to sleep.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off

Dumb and Dumber

The Breakfast Club.... these three i can recite word for word....

sometimes i do find it to be annoying to go to a movie that's just come out, may be it has been out for two weeks, and people behind me recite parts to the movie....

Whenever I watch "Sunset Blvd." I can't look away, it's just like you said....you're under a spell. I've seen it almost 100 times and each time, no matter what's going on, I have to sit and watch it, beginning to end.

I own Con-Air with Nicolas Cage but I will still sit down and watch it any time it's on t.v. or cable commercials and all!
