Landscapers usually plant male trees. They are cleaner because they don't drop fruit and most tidy Americans like that. The natural landscape is removed for new housing construction and then replanted with mostly male species of plants. There is an over abundance of pollen in the air because there are less female trees to absorb it. What do you think?

I think that may increase it slightly, but it still comes out to the fact that there are tons of trees that were not planted by landscapers, and there is also pollen, grass, and weeds that cause a lot of allergies. It also doesn't cover allergies to pet hair and pet dander.

How many species of trees have true male and female individuals? Do your research first before proposing a theory!
Now my allergy theory: Females have an allergy to money! The minute they get near it they start itching and have to dispossess themselves of it! What do you think?

I agree................But some male trees produce "litter" also.

We now have huge areas of these litter-free or "seedless" landscapes in our cities. What these actually are, of course, are male clones. As males their job is to produce pollen, and that they do! Even though in many cities we have less total vegetation than we used to, we have more pollen in our air now than ever before.”

Female trees and shrubs are rarely used any longer.

Yes, thank you, you're brilliant!
And before we end up in a world with no female ents, we better start planting female trees.

this sounds like a valid theory. if you take a spoonful of "local honey" (honey grown in your local area) every day, you will build up a natural immune to pollen allergies in your area.

crazy, but it works!
