But to answer---I work in lower mgt. for a major retailer which is 24 HOURS, but each night we lock one set of doors at a set time due to the decrease in store traffic and employees available to monitor the front. The only time all doors are set to be locked is from 6 p.m. Christmas Eve until 6 a.m. on Dec. 26.

After robberies or other emergencies they have to lock their doors. Also during holidays when they have limited hours.
