hot tea with honey or sugar.

chloreseptic losenges.

sinus pills - if they knock you out take them at night - also try allergy pills to dry out sinuses - the post nasel drip may be causing it

zinc losenges (only 1-2 a day or they upset the tummy)

check with your dr if it gets worse.

Like the others said, drink tea. Hot tea with honey and lemon works best. Since you work in a call center, I know that you may not be able to have drinks in there, so while you are at work, you could put a throat lozenge or even just a hard candy in your mouth to keep your throat moist. If you smoke, that is probably making it worse too. I hope that helps.

I also work in a call center. It's good to keep something to drink with you at your desk so that you can keep yourself hydrated. Water works but if your throat is really bad you can try tea with honey. Stay away from drinks with dairy in them which can cause phlem or caffinated drinks which can dry out your throat more. Depending on the volume of calls that you get at a time you can also use sugar-free coughdrops or gum to help increase saliva production.

Antihistamines help dry up a runny nose and postnasal drip, which can cause or further irritate a sore throat.

Non-aspirin pain relievers, such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen, can offer additional pain relief and make the patient more comfortable overall.

Gargle at least once per hour with warm salt water to reduce swelling and discomfort.

While it may be uncomfortable to swallow, make sure to drink additional fluids to soothe a sore throat. Sponsored Links
Hot fluids, such as soup or tea with honey, will help relieve and hydrate a sore throat. Extra fluids also help thin sinus mucus, allowing for better drainage and decreased stuffiness, which can contribute to throat irritation.

Suck on flavored frozen desserts, such as popsicles, to ease the irritation.

Ease sore throat pain with an over-the-counter medicine, such sore throat lozenges or sprays, to reduce pain and keep throat moist.

Use a vaporizer to keep throat tissues moist, particularly while sleeping.

Stop smoking and/or avoid secondhand smoke.

While the tendency may be to make the house warmer, dry, indoor heat can irritate a sore throat.

Keep talking or shouting to a minimum to rest the throat.

You should rest your voice for a while.
and you should also drink some water or tea, even iced tea to ease & sooth your throat.
Even taking some lime & pour a drop into your throat, it helps you to get rid of some of the flem too.

Make sure you are drinking enough liquid. By talking a lot it makes your throat dry - try just ordinary water. It should help. If not get some of those throat drops.

Warm soothing liquids. Not hot like coffee or tea. But warm. Stay away from thick liquids like shakes. Drink clear liquids like warm tea.

Drink tea with honey and lemon. Even iced tea. The honey soothes your throat and the lemon strips away phlegm.

Good luck.
