I am not familiar with this term; however knowing that the prefix co means together with; it appears a co-requisite would be a course taken during the same semester as another course, i.e. a co-requisite may require that you take a lab to a course while completing the course itself, i.e. gemology requires that you take the course itself which requires that you read the book and become knowledgeable in the subject, in addition you would take the lab to become familiar with actual, physical various types of gems. Hope this helps.

Corequisite has to do with timing. i.e. corequisite means to take at the same time, in conjunction with the required course. Simply put a Corequisite is a course requirement that needs to be completed while taking another course.

It means pretty much the same thing, the main difference is that it's a required course that you have to take in order to qualify for your degree. Where as prerequisites you have to take before you even qualify for the course. So core meaning part of standard curriculum.

A Corequisite course is a course that you must take at the same time as another course. For example, you might be a college Freshman and have to take a basic keyboard ( piano) skills class at the same time that you take a college level music theory course.
