I wear mine on my right hand. I bought the ring and I love it.... just hated being married. It is not the rings fault.

Thatis totally up to you! Me I kept mine as that was a special part of my life and thought it din't end the way I had always wished it would we had alot of great times and I know he loved me as I loved him. If you had kids together you could save it for them. If you're hurt sell it or just plain have a good time throwing it away some where. It's totally up to how you feel about this. There is no one right answer for this. Take your time and think it through. Don't just do something with it because you're divorced. You didn't get married or divorced overnight so don't make that same decision about your ring. I'm sure you rmariage had a big impact on your life one way or another. Good luck in whatever you decide to do.

No kids, bad memories, definately sell the ring and do something life changing with the money like taking a training course and changing your career.
It's all about fresh starts for you right now and I don't see anything positive about keeping a few stones and a lump of metal! Good Luck :)

I was divorced 5 years ago and I still have my rings. When I first got divorced, I went to the pawn shop one day to see how much I could get. I was getting ready to cash in when that inner- voice told me to save them for my daughter. She can wear the engagement ring when she get's older or melt them down if she wants to. If I didn't have a daughter, I would have pawned that puppy!

If you do not have any children you would want to give it to. Make you a nice diamond necklace with it or put it back for a rainy day when you might need the money, or sell it and take a vacation to forget about the divorce and move on with you life. Have fun and good luck!!!

Sell it and go buy yourself something decent. Don't pawn it because you won't get much for it that way. Put it on ebay or something. Turning it into money is always a good way of getting rid of the bad memories the ring brings.

I was divorced in Dec of 04. My ring is in the bottom of my jewelry box. I can't quite bring myself to get rid of it, and you generally can't get what its worth anyway. At some point, I think I might melt it down and make something else with it. Symbolic, I think, of how your past always remains part of who you are.

take the rings and get them melted down for another ring. If it is a gold ring set you can make something that will make you happy about being free at last thank God I'm free at last.

See if you can sell it...you won't get near what was paid for it, but if you have bad memories money will be better then keeping it around. Otherwise maybe consider having the stone reset into another piece of jewelry.

Have the jewels reset in a new ring. It's a fresh start, while holding onto a small piece of what you had for sentimental reasons.
