I have been told that I am mildly depressed.... but I am wandering if there is more to it? When things are even slightly different, I find that I have an overwhelming urge to run and hide. Wandering if this feeling is the depression, or if there is something else envolved?

About 4 years ago I began experiencing that feeling quite a bit, I finally began to suffer with anxiety attacks and decided to seek help. I was diagnosed with depression, mild agoraphobia, social anxiety disorder with panic attacks. With the help of a mild anti-depressant, a great therapist(more like a friend really), my faith and my family, I am doing much much better. It doesn't hurt to find someone you trust who is knowledgeable in this area and talk about it. It takes alot of courage for you to realize you might have a problem and want to know what it is and how to fix it. Good grace to you!

Everybody have certain ... uncertainties in their life ... that is part of maturing ... nobody can tell you that tomorrow is going to be a better day ... it may well be ... but it may not be either ! Just the fact that you recognize that you are unsure of things ... doesn't make you a nervous compulsive type ... it just shows that you are human .....JOIN THE CLUB ! It happens every day ! Count on it ...and nobody ever wants it ... we all just get it ! I was once told that "If everybody in the whole wide world took all their problems and dumped them in a single pile ... and then someone divided them up equally ... and handed them back out equally ...and you see how many more problems you suddenly have ... ....that we would look at your new pile of new problems and say... 'Give me back my original problems !'"... It may not be that simple for you ... but just don't let the depression thing prey on your head ... it may not be that bad ! Pills can make some things worse ! Good luck ... and I will think of you !
