There is no difference between spirit and soul, because the soul is spiritual by nature. The real self is the spirit soul which is eternal, full of knowledge and bliss. It is unborn, eternal, unchanging and it is an individual person. When the body dies the soul remains the same. There is also the Supreme Soul which is the Supreme Person or God, who maintains all other countless souls. This is confirmed in the ancient texts known as the Upanishads:
nityo nityanam cetanas cetananam
eko bahunam yo vidhadati kaman
Matter is oppositely different to spirit. Matter is temporary, inert, nescient and miserable. Our body is material and so is our mind. The difference is that the mind is subtle matter and cannot be percieved by our gross senses.
So, the conclusion is that we are spirit souls, covered by gross and subtle matter in the form of body and mind.

Mind is related to the brain, ie, the physical organ that does the thinking.

Spirit is the essence of our being, what we really are made of,
our ideologies, the selective factor in relation to family, religion,
way of living, judgements about what is right and what is incorrect. Its the driving force that propells our life towards the ultimate goal.

Soul is what God blesses us with.To keep it pure or impure rest strictly in one`s own hands.

Mind......Hardware,

Spirit.... Programme,

Soul.....Software.

See, this is purely my thinking, and you can take it or leave it.I take this caution of a remark nowadays, because a silly female
(Williams J)has been asking absurd questions, and I joking replied in her own style, and I got a mail from her that she`d drag me to the Police. Actually, I hope she goes to the cops, who, on
seeing her questions would lock her up & throw away the key.

Yours is an interesting question.Mind,Spirit,soul.

Even I thought it was all the same, but reflecting on their individual
traits, I could only answer the best I could.

All the best,

Man consists of three basic elements. These being the body soul and spirit. The body of course is the avenue through which the five senses (taste, sight, smell, hearing, and feeling) are directed. The spirit of man is man's will, intellect, and emotions. The soul of man is the portion dealing with God. This consists of God-consciousness, spiritual receptivity, and spiritual response. These three elements (body, soul, and spirit) are all controlled by the mind, or thought process of man. (i.e. the intellect can be strengthened through exercise of the mind, also with the mind man will either accept or reject God and His son Jesus Christ)

Think of them as id, ego, and superego in that order. Study Freud if you don't know what I an writing about. Aslo read Plato's Republic where this is discussed in depth. Mind is essential functional like an appetite. Spirit is more abstract like an instinct or a fantasy. And, soul is more judgmental, not in how it is used but how it is percieved. You only asked for the differences so there they are.

By long practice and with the help of Guru only you can realise the differance of mind, spirit and soul.Precisely,Body is the outer shirt of mind, mind is the shirt of spirit.spirit is the shirt of soul.Realization is speaking the language of soul.Soul is realized and well understood you can manipulate the other shirts such as spirit, mind and body! All shirts need other shirt to realize. But soul does not need a shirt!Step by step only we can realize the happenings from body, mind, spirit and to the ulimate SOUL.

The mind is everything perceived by the brain. Spirit and soul are concepts created in the mind.

You can't really know because any experience you have of your spirit or your soul is processed through your mind. We have a sense of a differentiation, but perhaps that differentiation is simply a manifestation of the mind?

I totally believe in spirit and soul but I know that it all may be an illusion of the mind. i hope not.

The soul is the universal energy that enters into your body at birth.

The mind is the physical portion of your body that stores your life experiences through memory and controls your nervous system.

Your spirit is the combination of them both through free will and the person that you choose to exemplify. Could be best related to your mood or disposition.

All attempts to differentiate anything always led to division of Wholeness. Then any separate faculty seems having life of its own, creating priorities. Relation drawn between them is a futile effort of intellect to connect that which same intellect have separated. There is no relations and there is no differences in truth they are One whole organism. Unification is not a relation.
