Just as there is love (and lack of love) between heterosexual couples, the same exists in the homosexual community. Why are they treated differently??

Jesus was a man of love and wisdom who truly understood culture and preached loving kindness according to the beliefs of his day. He would today have accepted all forms of love as valid i believe and those rigid Christians out there who say it is a sin i say-your Christ would be so ashamed of your hate. You are all the moneylenders in the temple but you deal in love-giving to only some and taking from all. It is one sin to deal with decadent money in a sacred place, its quite another to deal a sacred love out in a decadent way. These other sexually orientated people are alive and breathe too and while they share your life in this world they WILL share your love (and vice versa) if you are all truly Children Of God. And this also goes for ALL the religions, ALL the world-as you all breathe the same air you will live the same life and share the same love. Remember this and be kinder to one another.

Yes. Jesus made reference to the ancient cities of Sodom & Gommorah. These two cities were destroyed by God for their acts of moral perversion, and homosexuality. While Jesus did indeed preach love, this was not in a physical manner. Love is not just a feeling or an emotion, lust however is. Love is a bond. Furthermore, the apostle Paul makes direct reference forbidding homosexuality in the book of Romans chapter 1. Jesus appeared to Paul and made Paul the preacher he was. In other words Paul believed the same way Jesus did, he was just more pivotal in establishing doctrine, Jesus simply came to save that which was lost.

They are treated differently as a result of a cultural bias, not a religious one. By way of example, the bible was referenced to support both slavery and laws against interracial marriage in the United States. Arguments were made to support discrimination based on the bible - but of course the bible supported neither - it was purely a cultural bias against equal treatment for some.
One day we'll look back and find that what was suggested as biblical justifications against equality for gays is nothing more than a cultural bias. In the meantime have a look at a study of the passages that are frequently used to justify hate against homosexuals by clicking on the source link below.

I think you have the wrong concept. I believe that Jesus wanted everyone to loved everyone in a spiritual way, not (necessarily) in a sexual way. Unconditional love has nothing to do with heterosexual sex or homosexual sex. Don't get me wrong, I do believe that heterosexuals know how to love, just as homosexuals know how to love. But you are talking about apples and oranges; love and sex.

Jesus said to do those things which are pleasing in the sight of the Lord, and homosexuality is one thing that is definitely not, so if you put two and two together, the answer is yes, He did. Jesus never "said" anything about lying, but of course he condemned it!

Well did you ever notice that there is never any talk of good ol' Jesus H. with women...Kind of makes you think that maybe he too was homo does'nt it. I believe that the church covered it all up much like they do with just about every other scandal or terrible truth that they dont want the world to know about so that they can preserve the good name of our savior, the Lord Jesus Christ....Sorry but I dont think religion has a damn thing to do with gays...It's all a bunch of prejudiced ***-holes who use their religious ideals as an excuse for why they are so ignorant.

Jesus didn't say anything specifically about homosexuality, though it is meantioned in the old testament as being a no no. Jesus said to love your enemies.
Maybe you have to clarify your question.
Are they treated differently? on what level and how?

read in your bible...I Corinthians 6:9-10
I Timothy 1:10
I think that the bible preaches to hate the sin, not to hate the person. We should love our enemies, but we must hate the sin they are committing.
