That's easy. I have a 17 year old daughter. She has a car, so anything that would help towards that, a new stereo, tinted windows, a new paint job, car repairs, etc. are all good choices. At 17, clothes and money are also a great choice. Gift cards allow them the independence to buy whatever they want from clothes to ipods. If you can't decide which store to get the gift card from, try a pre-paid visa card. She can shop wherever she likes with one of those. And if you have a Dave and Busters in your end of the world, that would be a fun outing if she likes to play video games. You could always just ask her what she wants. Of all things, my daughter really wanted a cordless drill. Once you know what she wants, you can clue-in friends and family members so she gets things that she really wants and can use. Good Luck!!!

How about a prepaid VISA card? That way she can purchase whatever she chooses vs having to spend it at a particular retailer (gift card). Kids, no matter what the age are impressed when they can pull out the credit card for a purchase.

Gift cards, a car, an iPod, clothes, if she's getting ready to go to college then she'll need a bunch of stuff for her dorm.

Get her a pretty necklace. Thats what my mom got me and I'm 23 now, and I still wear it every single day. It reminds me that my mom is always close to my heart.
