I have a 1997 Nissan Altima, and the car sat for 3 weeks while I was on vacation. I just drove it and the dashboard gauges (speedometer, odometer, gas, etc) are not working. In addition, the blinkers aren't working, not only on the dash, but on the outside of the car itself. What is going on with it????

ok, I wiggled the fuse that said turn signal, and everything came back on, but the check engine light was on, so I turned the car off, and popped the hood to check the oil, and now the car won't start....GRRRRR

You probably blew the fuse. It's easy just replace the fuse that controls your dash and blinkers

it probably isn't a fuse, because the blinkers would flash extremely fast if the fuse is blown. but you could check them. chances are you had an animal get into your engine compartment and have a feast on your wires. take it to a shop and get it checked out though.

I would suggest you check the fuses first. After that its probably wiring and that is something that will take some time to trace at a garage
