Windows Genuine Advantage Notification. It was a tool released by Microsoft, it is part of the autoupdater. However, it checks to see if you are running a valid copy of Windows before installing the updates, you can remove it, but I do not reccomend doing so. If your copy of Windows XP is genuine then you don't have anything to worry about.
