None if you are travelling from within the country. Its like most major cities in India with lots of commute options, hotels, market place, etc.
If travelling from abroad, you can carry travellers checks and encash them as needed at local banks. There are various lodges and hotels to choose from depending on your requirements. There are a few women only hostels which are difficult to get into without prior arrangements.
Avoid going to places in the heart of the city alone for atleast a first few weeks, unless you are really adventerous at heart!
Rest, nice people, plenty of things to check out with bunch of great eating out places! Have a safe trip.
